Welcome to Reuther Middle School!
I am both honored and humbled to serve the students and staff and families of Crusader Nation!
Reuther’s strength is found in our community. Our students are diverse, hard-working, kind and service oriented. Our teachers and support staff are dedicated to bringing out the best in our students through the caring relationships they build with them during their middle school years. Our parents are strong partners in our work to ensure learning for ALL of our students by helping them develop critical & creative thinking skills to solve complex problems.
I began my career in the Rochester Community Schools as a Social Studies teacher at Adams High School and moved to Hart Middle School to teach Social Studies, Language Arts and Technology. Prior to becoming Reuther’s Principal in 2016, I served as an Assistant Principal at Hart and West Middle Schools. I am a Spartan Alum having earned both a Bachelor’s degree from James Madison College at MSU and a Master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction. I have two children, Alexis and Mitchell, who have two dogs, Daisy and Hoss.
Hello Crusader Nation!!
I am excited to start the 2023-24 school year with you. Reuther Middle School is a special place, and I am honored to be a member of the Crusader Family. My highest priority is building strong and trusting relationships with students, families and colleagues. I am eager to get to know our students and am enthusiastic about supporting their growth as a learner and a member of our Crusader Family. This will be my 16th year with Rochester Community Schools, and my 2nd year as the Assistant Principal of Reuther Middle School. During my time with RCS I have served students and families as a K-5 Elementary Resource Teacher, Fifth-Grade Teacher, Middle School Resource Math Teacher/Co-Teacher Math 6, and Secondary Administrator.
I earned my Education Specialist Degree with a focus in Educational Leadership, along with my Administrator’s Certificate, from Oakland University. I hold a Master’s Degree in Reading and Curriculum Assessment from Marygrove College and a Bachelor’s Degree in Applied Science from Eastern Michigan University. I'm a Mom to three, and have two dogs, Dorothy and Jake. Looking forward to a great year
